Go touch grass.
Take a short walk and photograph 5 to 10 random things. Our AI turns them into an illustrated story, rhyming poem or comic, using your own photos as the pictures.
Free to use with a free Google key, or run it on your own computer. The demo needs no setup.

What is Touch Grass Tales?
A small, friendly reason to go outside. Whatever you photograph (a bench, a cat, a strange sign) becomes the cast of a short tale. Everything is written in simple English: short sentences and easy words, so young readers and English learners can enjoy it too.

Questions
Is it free?
Yes. Google AI Studio gives you a free key with Gemma models. You can also use LM Studio, which runs fully on your own computer.
Is my API key safe?
Your key is kept in your browser's local storage for 5 hours only and is then deleted automatically. It is sent with each request but the server never stores or logs it. You can press Forget at any time.
What happens to my photos?
Photos are shrunk, their hidden location data (EXIF) is removed, and they are deleted from the server after 24 hours. When you press Publish, your tale and small copies of its photos are saved to your browser's local storage, so you can find it again in the gallery on this device. It is never uploaded for others to see.
Why does it take a few minutes?
The AI works in small, careful steps: it looks at each photo, plans the plot, writes each part, then proofreads. Doing it carefully, one piece at a time, takes a few minutes.
